2Why should I use a maid agency
  • A maid agency is able to provide you a comprehensive service to bring in a maid legally. Saving you time in training, application for work permit, DMW contract, security bond, insurance, travel arrangement, immigration clearance, medical screening etc.
3How do I know that the domestic helper is legally eligible to work in Malaysia
  • All our maids enter Malaysia after receiving their PLKS (Pas Lawatan Kerja Sementara Bagi Pembantu Rumah or Temporary Work Pass For Domestic Helpers) issued by the Immigration Department of Malaysia and are issued OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate) by the Philippines DMW (Department of Migrant Workers)
4Immigration requirements
  • Both husband and wife should be working
  • Combine income of at least RM60,000 per annum
  • Have a child below 15 years of age or family member who is elderly or sick

5Documents required
  • Latest original Form BE/B and latest EPF statement
  • Original company letter stating position held, monthly salary and length of service
  • Photocopy of pay slips for the last 3 months
  • Photocopy of IC
  • Passport size colour photo (x2 each husband and wife)
  • Photocopy of marriage certificate
  • Photocopy of children birth certificate (for application to look after children)
  • Photocopy of applicant’s parents IC and applicant’s birth certificate as proof of relationship (for application to look after elderly parents)
  • Original Medical letter (for application to look after sick family member)
6What is a Filipino maid’s salary
  • The monthly salary is USD 400 (as determined by the Philippines government) and are entitled to 1 rest day a week, rest days can be paid per day in lieu.
7What are the responsibilities of an employer
  • To pay the maid’s salary appropriately and timely in accordance to the contract.
  • To provide the maid’s basic necessities which include enough food, enough rest, a proper place to rest and sleep and medical needs.
  • Not to abuse or mistreat the maid
8What do I do if I want to send my maid home
  • Contact your agency for advice
  • Organise travel arrangement back to their home country and check out memo (cancellation of permit) with immigration
9What should I do if my maid runs away

  • Lodge police report and inform the immigration department
